The Germantown Veterinary Clinic, who were loving, kind and fought hard for Katy in her last days. We're forever in their debt.

My aunt Ann's farm. Ann arranged for us to acquire Katy as a Christmas gift. She was the best Christmas gift I've ever gotten.

Meisha's Hope. A very sweet homage to a dog, Meisha, who beat the odds with her AIHA, living for almost 10 years. We were convinced Katy had died of AIHA, until a biopsy proved otherwise.

Hailey's Website. Another loving tribute to a pet, who fell ill with canine lymphoma but managed to survive for years with treatment.

The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. They're in desperate need of homes for many unwanted puppies. I link to the Montgomery County branch, but a Google search on 'spca [your county] [your state]' should yield good results for you.

Canine lymphoma. Katy had stage V lymphoma (involving the bone marrow), which was untreatable by the time she exhibited symptoms.

Pet Loss Grief Counseling. Toll-free, and generally staffed by veterinary students.
